Who We Are
We Understand Your World
We are not a general consulting firm that occasionally works with healthcare or public safety clients.
EMS, fire, hospitals, and healthcare operations are our entire focus. That specialization means we understand the pressure, the accountability, and the stakes involved — because we have worked in those environments.
We do not build experimental models or one-off dashboards.
We design analytics and AI systems that leaders can trust, defend in front of boards and auditors, and actually use in day-to-day operations.

Our Approach
Analytics That Reflect Reality
In EMS and healthcare, a bad model is not just an inconvenience — it affects staffing, response, and patient outcomes. That is why every system we build is grounded in operational reality and built to be:
Explainable and transparent models
Not black-box outputs
Operational relevance
Aligned to how teams plan, staff, and execute
Defensible decision support
Suitable for audits, leadership review, and public accountability
Systems that endure
Designed to scale, adapt, and remain useful over time
We work closely with operational leaders, medical directors, and department heads — not just IT — to ensure analytics systems are adopted, understood, and acted on at every level of the organization.
About the Founder
Experience. Credibility. Mission Aligned.

Mullen Analytics was founded by James Mullen — a veteran, former paramedic, and data scientist with over a decade of experience in high-pressure operational environments.
James served in the military and worked in emergency medical services before transitioning into data science and analytics to help organizations make better decisions with the data they already have.
He holds a degree in Biology and advanced graduate training in Data Science, with specialization in machine learning, predictive modeling, and applied AI for healthcare and public safety operations.
Mullen Analytics is veteran-owned.
Our work is built on operational credibility, not just technical credentials.
Let's Build Better Decisions—Together
If your EMS agency, hospital, or public safety organization is looking to improve operations, staffing, or decision-making with analytics and AI, we would welcome the opportunity to talk.
